the
boonies
where you are
in the outbacks and
the middle of nowhere but
y'all like callin' it God's Country
'cuz it's a place which is tended by God
where businessmen have yet to overrun and ravage
to fell forests, and clear the land for pretty developments
and it's a place where you are dangerously closer
to the wild elements and are self-reliant
comfortably near to the natural
free of the 'pressures' who
could encroach upon
your space and
freedoms
wow

Beautiful poetry Gina. I found your second blog! I used to write a lot of poetry, mostly in grade school and up to jr high. Haven't done that in quite some time. Should get back to it one of these days.
Thank you for visiting my poetry site, Jyankee and your comment. I also enjoyed my little visit to your site with your vacation pics...what a cool pool. It's like a little beach! We don't have those kind of pools here, that I am aware of. Your daughter is adorable. And I love the scenic setting. Wow!
I like your poetry. It has a very lively contemporary feel which is very appealing.
Thanks, LGS, I wish I could be more in tune with the music of words which echo the sounds of nature...and am reading more poetry these days to get a feel for it. Wondering if it's just something which is in a person, or somthing of a skill which can be developed. Or both....
Great blog! I will be back for more!!
